Why this happens
Ibuprofen gel is applied to the skin (topically), and very little of the medicine reaches your bloodstream compared to taking a tablet. Pregabalin works on the central nervous system to manage nerve pain or seizures. Because they work in different ways and the gel stays mostly local to the area where it is applied, they do not interfere with each other.
What you should do
You can use these medications together as prescribed or directed on the packaging. Always apply the gel to intact skin and wash your hands after use. If you notice any unusual side effects, such as extreme sleepiness or skin irritation, speak with your pharmacist or doctor.
