Ingredients for Garlicky panko toasties
60 g unsalted butter
4 garlic cloves, lightly smashed
180 g panko breadcrumbs
kosher salt
How to make Garlicky panko toasties
Melt butter in a medium frying pan over medium-low heat. Add the garlic and swirl the pan often until the foaming subsides and the garlic is fragrant, about 2 minutes.
Add the panko and stir to coat evenly. Cook, stirring frequently, until the panko is golden brown, about 4 minutes. Season with salt.
Transfer the mixture to a plate and let it cool. Discard the garlic.
Do Ahead: The panko can be prepared up to 5 days in advance. Store it in an airtight container at room temperature.
