30 ml vegetable oil
45 g popcorn kernels
How to make Plain popcorn
Heat oil in a 3-litre heavy saucepan over medium heat, covering with a lid. Add 3 popcorn kernels and wait until 1 or 2 kernels pop.
Quickly add the remaining popcorn kernels to the pan.
Cover the pan and cook, shaking it frequently, until the popping sound stops, which should take about 3 minutes.
